  • So....I survived.  "It" wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  The drink required the day before wasn't like a good glass of wine though.  Don't know anything that happened, except just before I was put out, they sprayed my throat with a numbing "agent" and I couldn't swallow.  (For the endoscopy).   I'm just glad that the tests are over....but.....I have learned I have diverticulosis along with my acid reflux and my new diet sucks...No nuts or seeds of any kind...  and NO popcorn, corn on the cob, strawberries, chocolate....to name a few...All that good stuff and more.  I also have polyps in the stomach and am awaiting the results of the biopsy of them.  I HATE getting older...and as my husband said...the "Golden Years" are NOT golden!!  Oh well...at least I'm still "above the grass."!!!!!!!!   Moral of the story is first and foremost..."GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY NOW!"    P. S. Thanx to my cousin for calling me the day before to wish me "Happy Trails" and the suggestion for Depends (saves some anxiety), and thank you to the "Captain" for the suggestion that I hold my nose while drinking the drink!! Another cousin told me to take a book into the loo with me, so I took a book, a blanket and a pillow!!!  NO kiddin!   What would we do without friends and family to help us thru shakey times????
